Adoption.? For believers, it is one of the most beautiful truths laid out in Scripture.? Because of the immeasurable love of the Father and the selfless act of His Son, we who were once orphans are now called sons and daughters of the Most High.? It is beautiful because it is the gospel.? And in keeping with James 1:27, this is the mission of the Orphan Care Ministry at CHBC:? ?to pursue and love the least of these just as we have been pursued and loved by the Father.?? Two very real ways that this type of unconditional love is demonstrated to an unbelieving world are through the acts of adoption and foster care.??
If you have been considering adoption or foster care and would like a chance to connect with other CHBC families who have experience in these areas, we invite you to join us on Saturday, March 16 from 10am -12 pm at the church.? A panel comprised of families with experience in adoption and/or foster care ?will share some of their insights on a variety of topics including domestic and international adoption, special needs adoption, foster care and fostering to adopt, older child adoption, as well as trans-racial adoption.? For those who are considering or just beginning the process, this is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and hear from those who have traveled this road before.
