OS X: We've seen a few Mac desktop clients for Pandora, but all of them have cost money. PianoPub is a simple, small, and free desktop app that plays your Pandora stations.
The code it based on the previously mentioned Terminal-based player, Pianobar, but it adds a clean UI element to the whole affair. It takes hardly any CPU usage or memory to run, and from the app you can rate and skip songs, as well as create playlists. There are growl notifications as well, but they're simple to turn off you prefer a totally background experience. It also seems to cut the advertisements out by default. If you're the type to constantly close out your browser or you just want a low-impact player, this is a nice, free solution.
